Verde Island Wide-angle with the D810, Tokina Fisheye
Apr 28
I did 5 amazing wide-angle underwater photography dives at Verde Island in late April 2016.
Verde Island is in between Anilao and Puerto Galera, but it is much closer to Puerto Galera, making PG the choice for a base to dive Verde Island. I had heard of Verde Island, but I didn’t realize how stunning the diving was. There were many huge sea fans, some soft coral, a couple turtles, a sea snake and a few large-ish groupers. Oh, and there were a gazillion anthias swarming around.
I used my Nikon D810, Tokina 10-17mm fisheye lens, and dual Sea & Sea strobes, and did a quick edit of the photos in Adobe Lightroom.
I stayed at both Atlantis dive resort and El Galleon resorts on behalf of my other company Bluewater Travel, and I have some exclusive diving specials and packages for both places – so email me if you are considering a trip to the Philippines this year or next year! – Scott
